Saeed: The ministerial changes are not sufficient to meet the people’s demands.

A member of Parliament, Abubaker Saeed, said on Monday that the ministerial changes may be a temporary positive step, but it will not be sufficient to meet all the people’s demands.

Saeed added, in a statement to Arraed, that everyone in the east, west and south is expecting politicians and influential people to unify state institutions, end the state of political division, and form a national unity government away from tribal and regional quotas, and is made up of “technocrats” ministers who have the experience and ability to deal with escalating crises and are able to combat corruption.

Saeed made it clear that the most important thing is for the government to be held accountable and monitored after granting it confidence from the legislative authority.

It is worth noting that the Presidential Council pledged to carry out a cabinet reshuffle in response to the demonstrations that took place in a number of cities calling for improvement of living conditions and combating corruption.
