Bashagha welcomes the presidential decision and demands that the investigation session be broadcast live on the media.

Interior Minister Fathi Bashagha announced his respect for the law and his acceptance for the administrative investigation decision issued by the Presidential Council, demanding that the investigation be broadcast live on the media.

Bashagha explained in a statement, Friday, that the request to transfer the session to the media is to show the facts before the Libyan people, noting that he objected to the security measures issued by “armed factions” that do not belong to the ministry and the resulting abuse of the citizen’s dignity, violation of his rights, and the waste of his blood by oppression and intimidation.

It is worth noting that the President of the Presidency Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, issued a decision on Friday to suspend the Minister of Interior, Fathi Bashagha, as a precaution, from work and to appear for administrative investigation before the Council.

Protesters against the dismissal of Bashagha in Misurata are calling on the representatives and the supreme state Councils to form a mini-crisis government.
