Al-Sarraj and Erdogan assert that the solution to the Libyan crisis is a political one within the framework of UN resolutions.

President of the GNA, Fayez al-Sarraj, confirmed during his talks on Saturday with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the need for a political solution to the Libyan crisis in the framework of United Nations resolutions and the outputs of the Berlin Conference.

Al-Sarraj agreed with the Turkish President to continue to implement the two memoranda of understanding signed last November on security cooperation and to define areas of maritime competence in the Mediterranean.

Al-Sarraj discussed with Erdogan the file of economic cooperation, the return of Turkish companies to complete their stalled work in Libya, and mechanisms of cooperation in the field of investment, and the continued coordination between the two countries to confront the Corona pandemic.

It is worth noting that on November 27 last year, President of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, signed with Turkish President Rejep Tayyip Erdogan two memorandum of understanding for security and maritime cooperation between the two countries.
