
On Tuesday, a member of the House of Representatives Omar Ghaith saw that the Egyptian parliament’s decision to authorize the Egyptian president to send forces outside Egypt – ink on paper, stressing that Egypt has no ability to deploy military forces inside Libya.
Ghaith demanded, in a statement to Arraed, that the reconciliation government should accelerate taking the necessary and deterrent measures for any external threats to interfere in internal affairs and prejudice the sovereignty of the Libyan state, without underestimating them, stressing the right of the legitimate government to participate with any state to repel any interference in the sovereignty of its lands.
On Tuesday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, confirmed that there is no alternative to negotiations to settle the situation in Libya.
