The first deputy speaker of the parliament, Jalal Al-Shuwaidi, said on Tuesday that what came in the Egyptian parliament’s decision was to declare war on the Libyan state.
In a statement to Arraed, Al-Shuwaihdi advised the Egyptian authorities to preserve their interests in Libya by communicating with the legitimate government instead of betting on a “failed dictator”, stressing the rejection of the military escalation of a neighboring country like Egypt and adding, “We will not let them interfere in Libya as they want.”
It is worth noting that the House of Representatives announced, on Tuesday, that what was issued by the Egyptian parliament is a direct threat of using force and a violating the sovereignty of the state, calling on the international community to assume its responsibility and condemn this threat explicitly.
