The United Nations: The decision to send Egyptian forces to Libya is worrying and it is like adding petrol to the fire.

The United Nations expressed grave concern over the decision of Egyptian parliament, on Monday, to delegate President Abdelfattah Alsisi to send forces outside the borders to Libya, considering this as adding “petrol to the fire.”

On Monday, thr spokesman for the United Nations Secretary-General, Stephen Dujarric, said during a press conference via television circuits:”They are closely following the situation and there is a” worrying “crowd of forces around Sirte, which puts the lives of more than 125,000 civilians at risk, according to a report by Anatolia agency.

In a related context, “Dujarric” indicated that Algeria is making positive efforts to urge the Libyan parties to end the fighting, implement an immediate ceasefire, and resume the political process under the auspices of the United Nations, stressing that there is no military solution to the Libyan crisis.

Dujarric affirmed that they are in contact with the Egyptian authorities, and continue to urge everyone to cease the fire, and all supporters who have influence in Libya know our stance.

It is worth noting that the Egyptian parliament authorized, on Monday, during a secret session, Alsisi to “preserve national security” and to send forces outside the borders.
