Johns Hopkins University announced, on Saturday, that the number of infections with the Corona virus has crossed the threshold of 14 million globally, with a record of one million infections within about 4 days, in a record count of the number of infections with the virus, which is more than three times the number of cases annually recorded with acute flu.
The university indicated, according to a study, that the death toll is 600 thousand people, noting that the United States, Brazil and India topped the list of the highest countries in terms of the number of infections. India last Friday crossed the barrier of one million confirmed injuries, while the number of cases in Brazil exceeded two million, amongst them 76 thousand deaths.
It is worth noting that the United States still has more than 3.6 million confirmed cases, and is witnessing huge daily jumps in its first wave of corona infection.
