
On Thursday, President of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, discussed in Tripoli with the Italian Minister of the Interior, Luchana Lamorghese, the preliminary steps for the return of Italian companies. To resume their activity in Libya, and Italy’s continued contribution to the demining process from areas that were under the control of the Haftar militias.
Al-Sarraj discussed with “Lamorghese” the issue of closing oil sites, the utmost necessity for the return of oil production, the files of joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of security, the file of illegal immigration, and combating human trafficking and smuggling, according to the official page of the Council.
It is worth noting that the President of the Presidential Council welcomed, last June, the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs “Luigi de Mayo” and discussed the issue of closing oil ports, the utmost necessity for the return of their production, and the file of illegal immigration.
