A member of the Constituent Assembly for drafting the constitution, Etemad Almsilati, said that the international community and some Libyan politicians ignore that there is a draft constitution ready for a referendum in Libya, stating that no country can be built without a constitution.
Almsilati asserted, in a statement to Arraed, that they insisted on the referendum on the draft constitution set by the elected body from the people from all regions of Libya, noting that there are 11 members of the commission from the eastern region who voted on the draft constitution with approval, and they are responsible to bring awareness to their region to a referendum on it.
Etemad stressed that the referendum is currently difficult for the eastern region. Because those who take control there obstruct the promulgation of the constitution, and they do not want Libya’s stability.
