On Monday, Algerian Foreign Minister Sabri Boqadoum warned that dividing Libya poses a danger to everyone, especially to its neighboring countries, stressing respect for its territorial integrity and sovereignty, and the need for fair elections that bring stability to this country.
Boqadoum, in an interview with the Turkish “Anatolia” agency, expressed his hope for the end of the Libyan crisis and the return of peace and stability to the country, stressing that Algeria wants all Libyans to unite and not disintegrate in any way.
Bouqadoum indicated that the Libyan parties called on Algeria to mediate in the Libyan crisis, expressing its readiness to do so if the conditions were appropriate to achieve a cease-fire, and the absence of foreign interference and respect for the arms embargo on Libya.
It is worth noting that the Algerian Foreign Minister, Sabri Boqadoum, confirmed last February during his meeting with the President of the Presidential Council, Fayez al-Sarraj in Tripoli, his country’s support for the GNA and its categorical rejection of the attack on Tripoli, and its continuing work to end the war.
