Bashagha: We are determined to reform the security sector with Libyan hands.

The Minister of the Interior, Fathi Bashagha , affirmed his determination to move forward in implementing the Ministry’s plans to reform the security sector led by Libyans and on a comprehensive national scale, to ensure the security and welfare of the citizen.

On Saturday, via video technology, Bashagha discussed with Acting Head of the UN Mission “Stephanie Williams” and Director of the Arab and International Police Department, Brigadier Abdulhamid Alghazali, the Ministry’s plans and programs for disarmament, demobilization and reintegration, and security sector reform in general.

It is worth noting that the Ministry of the Interior opened, last week, the new headquarters of the International Criminal Police Office in Tripoli, which is coordinating with INTERPOL.
