Lavrov demands on behalf of Haftar to sign the cease-fire in Libya.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Wednesday that Haftar is ready to sign a document that calls for a ceasefire.

Lavrov stressed, according to the “Interfax” Russian news agency, that Russia and Turkey are working to broker an immediate ceasefire in Libya.

Haftar had previously refused to sign the cease-fire twice, first in the Russian capital, Moscow, on the 14th of last January, then he also refused to sign the document of the Berlin conference statement that brought together a number of countries and international organizations on the 19th of the same month before the army forces crushed his militias and expelled them from the western region on the sixth of June.
