Except for Haftar’s supporters … An Arab disregard and international rejection of Alsisi’s threats.

Alsisi declaration of war on Libya in a military scene in which tanks and artillery appear to increase the media momentum – it did not seem to have yielded the desired results from it so far.

Alsisi’s threatening speech from the Sidi Barani base near the borders with Libya – did not yield the support and approval of most Arab countries except Saudi Arabia and the Emirates who are involved in the aggression and killing of the Libyans, while he faced rejection from some countries, and ignored by other countries.

Arab and international disregard

An Arab and an international disregard for Alsisi’s statements on his intention to intervene militarily in Libya, as the most prominent neighbors of Libya such as Algeria, Tunisia, and Morocco, as well as Sudan, did not show any welcoming reaction to these statements.

The US embassy announced, in a statement, that Washington rejects any military escalation in the region, and called on the parties to abide by the ceasefire and resume negotiations immediately.

Italian Foreign Minister Luigi de Mayo said that the regional powers concerned with the crisis in Libya should return to Berlin’s outputs and diplomatic solutions, in a diplomatic response that reflects his country’s rejection of Alsisi’s statements.

On the other hand, the European Union spokesman, “Peter Stano,” stressed the need for regional powers involved in the crisis in Libya to play a helping role in reducing escalation, not fueling it.

Supporters of aggression welcome

The UAE and Saudi Arabia, in addition to Bahrain, announced their support for Alsisi’s declaration of war on Libya, as a statement from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Kingdom stands with Egypt in its right to defend its borders and its people.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation affirmed the solidarity of its country and its support for Egypt in all its actions to protect its security and stability from the repercussions of the disturbing developments in Libya.

Declaration of war

Egyptian President Abdelfattah Alsisi announced, during his speech the day before yesterday, in front of a military build-up of his forces, that any direct interference in the Libyan affairs has obtained an international legitimacy, as he said.

Alsisi added, in his speech, that any progress of the Libyan army forces affiliated with the GNA East poses a threat to Egypt’s interests, its western borders, and its national security, stressing that the cities of Sirte and Al-Jufra are considered a “red line” for his country.
