Erdogan and Merkel agree to strengthen the United Nations plan in Libya.

Turkish President Rejep Tayyip Erdogan and German Chancellor Angela Merkel agreed on Tuesday on the need to strengthen the United Nations-sponsored peace process in Libya.

Merkel’s spokesman, Stephen Seibert, added, according to Reuters, that the German chancellor discussed with Erdogan the situation in Libya and the eastern Mediterranean in a video call today.

It is worth noting that the Berlin conference, on January 13, confirmed the support of the road map proposed by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya.
