While Aqeela Saleh, in a statement to Algerian television, said that he “visited Algeria at the invitation of President Taboun; In order to discuss how to solve the Libyan crisis, stressing that Taboun “was acquainted with the Cairo initiative and will make his effort to reunite the Libyans.”
It has no purpose
The writer and political analyst Ali Abuzayd said: Algeria was expected to support the reconciliation government and its legitimacy if it was really keen on its interests, and it wants to be influential in the Libyan file.
Abuzayd added, in a statement to Arraed, that Algeria still insists on not taking a position appropriate to its size and impact, and interacts with the Libyan file through the positions of others, and therefore the invitation of Aqeela Saleh has no purpose but to send a message to the Egyptian side that it will not allow Egypt to present the initiatives alone far from the neighboring countries, but conveying this message by the invitating Aqeela Saleh does not make sense.
Regional pillars
The writer and political analyst Abdulmajeed Awiti believes that Aqeelah Saleh is looking for regional and international foundations that support his place and position as a possible alternative to Haftar at the next negotiating table, and therefore there has been a lot of talk recently about the shift of the eastern negotiation headquarters from Alrajma to the Alqoba.

Reservation to the Cairo Initiative
The journalist and writer Abdullah Al-Kabeer said that the visit took place at the invitation of the Algerian president for two reasons. The first: to know the details of the new position as mentioned in the Cairo statement, and to clarify the Algerian position from the Cario statement to Aqeela, and the other is a message to Egypt and the international community expressing the ability of Algerian diplomacy to communicate with all parties of the conflict in Lybia.
