The US State Department said that Washington will work for a political solution with the reconciliation government, and all parties willing to negotiate in Libya.
The State Department added in a statement on Tuesday that Russia not only supplies Haftar forces with advanced weapons, but is also seeking to conceal its interference in Libya, noting that repainting Russian aircraft in Libya will not obscure Moscow’s destabilizing activities.
It is worth noting that the American forces in Africa “Africom” accused Russia on Tuesday of sending combat aircraft to Libya to support Russian “Wagner” mercenaries fighting alongside Haftar, confirming its monitoring of Russian aircraft coming to Libya that landed in Syria, and was repainted, to conceal its identity.
