German newspaper: Putin throws his weight in Libya and sends numbers of Syrian mercenaries to support Haftar.

The German newspaper “Bild” said that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to throw his weight in Libya and for that he is sending a number of Syrian mercenaries to Libya, to support Haftar.

The newspaper added, according to exclusive information obtained by it published on Tuesday, that there are unprecedented recruitment campaigns by the Wagner Company for Syrian fighters after their training and they are sent to the war in Libya, to fight alongside Haftar, in an attempt to import the Syrian civil war immediately to Libya.

The newspaper confirmed, according to a witness from the Quneitra region, that they had obtained a promise from the company to obtain significant financial temptations and that they would not be tracked to serve in the Syrian army. And that military intelligence officers of the Assad regime and some village mayors began a month ago to persuade young people to join Wagner to fight in Libya.

The newspaper pointed out that Wagner’s contracts with them would initially be for three months, and the Syrian fighters received a promise of a salary of one thousand dollars per month, and if they were injured or killed in Libya, they or their families would receive between 25 thousand and 50 thousand dollars.

It is worth noting that the “revue-internationale” website confirmed last March the arrival of 1500 Syrian mercenaries in Benghazi to join the Haftar militias, in coordination with the head of the Syrian regime’s intelligence, Ali Mamlouk.

The New York Times: Haftar failed to capture Tripoli, and here are the details of his call to Trump.

Asarraj to the Italian “La Repubblica”: No sitting or negotiating with Haftar.
