France Agence France-Presse warned that the damage on Western countries from the Corona epidemic may cause the diversion of their military resources away from foreign conflicts such as the one in Libya and perhaps cease to play the role of mediator in peace talks.
The agency added, in a report on Sunday, that European officials reported that efforts to ensure a ceasefire in Libya are no longer receiving high level of attention because of the epidemic, according to the International Crisis Report.
Several countries, including Turkey, the United States and Britain, have called for a humanitarian truce in Libya to allow the reconciliation government to confront the Corona epidemic.
It is worth noting that the Director of the World Health Organization said on March 13 that Europe is now the epicenter of the global epidemic of the Corona virus, in light of the increasing numbers of infections and deaths significantly.
