Foreign Ministry spokesman Muhammad al-Qiblawi confirmed Sunday that the ministry has taken measures in all directions, whether political, judicial or legal, and has communicated with some heads of state or foreign affairs to clarify matters and ask them to cooperate to limit the export of mercenaries to Libya, especially with regard to neighboring countries from the south, whether Sudan or Chad.
Al-Qiblawi added, in a statement to Arraed, that they called for American and British cooperation to deal in this matter, noting that the Foreign Ministry is still making efforts, holding Hifter responsible for the legal and moral responsibility of bringing in these mercenaries.
Al-Qiblawi stressed that the position of the GNA and the ministry is clear regarding “war criminal Hifter” bringing mercenaries into his ranks, as it is absolutely unacceptable and violates Libyan sovereignty.
It is worth noting that the reports of the United Nations and the team of experts proved the presence of many mercenaries of “Wagner” and the Janjaweed and the Rapid Support Forces of Hamdity, the Syrians and the Chadians in the ranks of the Hifter militias.
