On Monday, the National Oil Corporation denounced the illegal import of aviation fuel from from the UAE to the port of Benghazi, stressing that it is a clear violation of the United Nations arms embargo on Libya.
In a statement, Chairman of the Board of Directors Mustafa Sanallah made clear that the Foundation informed the United Nations, the GNA and many other governments of these clear violations of United Nations resolutions and Libyan laws as soon as this shipment arrived in Libya.
Sanallah pointed out that the corporation was able to provide sufficient quantities of fuel to all parts of Libya, including the eastern regions, in order to meet all civil needs, including civil aviation, despite the illegal closure of Libyan oil installations.
It is worth noting that the militias of Hifter closed on January 17 all oil fields, causing losses of more than 3 billion dollars so far.
