The British Guardian newspaper said that the UAE sent to Hifter more than 5 thousand tons of military supplies to support his forces despite the United Nations resolution to ban the supply of weapons.
The newspaper added via an article published on Wednesday that the UAE has carried these shipments through more than 100 flights since mid-January, according to flight tracking data.
The newspaper pointed out that these shipments are likely to contain heavy artillery, weapons and other ammunition, pointing out to the long-term artillery shelling on the capital, Tripoli, in which the fingers of accusation was pointed to Hifter .
The newspaper confirmed that it quoted experts as saying that the shipments may also contain communications technology devices, spare parts and essential equipment for fighting the war.
