The Council of the League of Arab States at the level of foreign ministers renewed its support for the full implementation of the political agreement as the only reference for the political settlement in Libya and for all the legitimate institutions that derive from it.
In a meeting held by Arab foreign ministers in Cairo on Wednesday, the Council stressed the need to strengthen the role of the League of Arab States in order to overcome the difficulties that still hinder the implementation of the agreement signed under the auspices of the United Nations.
It is worth mentioning that the Arab League Council confirmed last December their support for the political process in Libya through the full implementation of the political agreement signed on December 17, 2017.
