British Newspaper “The Independent”: Hifter is an obstacle to peace and wants one of his sons to inherit power.

The British newspaper “The Independent” described Hifter as a Warlord, who has become an obstacle to peace in Libya

The newspaper added, in a report on Wednesday, that Hifter wants to replace Gaddafi as a dictator, and he will pass on the power after him to one of his children, quoting what was said by the former US envoy to Libya, “Jonathan Weiner.”

The newspaper continued that Hifter transformed the Tobruk parliament into a group subject to him, describing them as a “fingerprint” despite his claim on more than one occasion that he had no political ambitions.

In its report, the newspaper considered that Hifter is taking Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Esisi as a model for him, and he who entered his country in a state of political repression that has not been seen in the modern era, according to the newspaper.

The newspaper pointed out that Hifter does not believe in the democratic process or the political process, and his goal is only to control everything in Libya.

The newspaper sees that international and regional powers bear the responsibility for the ongoing crisis in Libya, which has now entered its ninth year, and has become increasingly and clearly a proxy war.

The British newspaper “The Independent”: Foreign powers no longer trust Hifter and most of Libya’s population in the West reject dictatorial rule.

Almishri: Hifter does not abide by agreements. If the breach continues, we will switch from defense to offense.
