The American Embassy in Libya confirmed on Tuesday that it is necessary to immediately resume oil production and marketing operations from the legitimate national Corporation in Tripoli.
The embassy, on its Twitter account, said that stopping the export of oil threatens to exacerbate the humanitarian emergency and will cause further suffering to the Libyans.
On Monday, Prime Minister of the GNA Fayiz Asarraj confirmed his rejection of Hifter’s demands to link the opening of ports to the redistribution of oil revenues, indicating that oil revenues benefit the entire country.
It is worth noting that the National Oil Corporation announced, on Monday, that the daily losses to stop exporting oil reached $ 77 million per day.
