The mission is concerned about stopping oil production.

The United Nations Mission, on Saturday, expressed concern about stopping oil production, noting that this step will have severe consequences for the Libyan economy and people.

In a statement on its official website, the mission urged all Libyans to show restraint while international negotiations continue to mediate an end to the Libyan crisis and take measures to ensure transparency in the allocation of state resources, stressing the importance of maintaining the integrity and neutrality of the National Oil Corporation.

The National Oil Corporation warned on Thursday, against closing the oil ports, which it said is the Lifeline of the Libyan economy and is the only source of income for the Libyan people, and that oil installations belong to the Libyan people and should not be used as a card for political bargaining.
