Russian Foreign Ministry: Hifter left Moscow and did not sign the agreement.

The Russian Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday that Khalifa Hifter left Moscow without signing the Memorandum of Understanding on a ceasefire.

The Foreign Ministry confirmed, according to the Russian Agency “Sputnik”, that Moscow will continue to work with the Libyan parties to reach a political settlement.

Hifter had asked, on Monday, for a deadline to sign the ceasefire agreement which expires on Tuesday morning, before leaving Moscow yesterday evening.
