Putin: The presence of mercenaries in Libya is a “very serious issue”.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Saturday that if there are Russian citizens in Libya, they do not represent Russia’s interests and do not receive money from it, pointing to the presence of many mercenaries in Libya, describing this as “a very dangerous issue.”

Putin stressed, during a press conference in Brussels, that the time has come for peace talks on Libya in Berlin, noting the importance of ending the conflict in Libya.

Putin said that there are efforts to hold an international conference on the Libyan crisis, pointing out that consultations will take place, after the ceasefire, with all parties, and then going to the Berlin conference.

It is worth noting that Russian President Vladimir Putin held a joint press conference on Saturday, with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Moscow.
