Erdogan: We sent 35 soldiers to support the GNA with training and coordination tasks.

Turkish President Rejep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed on Wednesday that 35 Turkish soldiers had been sent to Libya to support the reconciliation government in advisory and training tasks.

Erdogan said, according to the Turkish newspaper, “Hurriyet”, that the soldiers will not participate in the battles on the ground, but rather Turkey will assume the functions of coordination and consultancy only.

On Monday, Turkish President Rejep Tayyip Erdogan announced the start of sending Turkish forces to Libya in support of the reconciliation government to repel the aggression.

It is worth noting that the Turkish Parliament voted, Thursday, to agree to send soldiers to Libya to support the legitimate and internationally recognized GNA.
