Turkish Vice President: We may not send troops to Libya if Haftar withdraws and stops his offensive on Tripoli.

Turkish Vice President Fuad Aktay said on Wednesday that Ankara may restrain from sending troops to Libya if Hifter stops his attack on Tripoli and withdraws.

Aktay confirmed, according to the Reuters news agency, that the memorandum of authorization to send military forces to Libya is valid for one year, and that the forces will be dispatched in a timely manner, as necessary.

Aktay added that the content of the mandate note provides for everything, from humanitarian aid to military support, and we hope this will play a deterrent role, and that all parties understand this message correctly.

It is worth noting that the Turkish Parliament will meet, on Thursday, to approve a memorandum authorizing the dispatch of Turkish troops to Libya to support the reconciliation government.
