The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the intention of the high official of foreign policy in the European Union, “Josep Borrell” to come to Libya, accompanied by the foreign ministers of Italy, Germany, Britain and France, to have discussions with the President of the GNA, Fayize Asarraj.
The Foreign Ministry added, through its official page, on Friday, that the European official’s visit to Libya will be on January 7, and that “Sayyala” and “Borel” during a phone call discussed the latest developments in the current situation and the massacres committed by Hifter against civilians in the cities of Western Libya and the capital Tripoli.
It is worth noting that Foreign Minister Mohamed Sayyala received, last Saturday, a call from the European official, “Josep Borel”, in which he stressed the interest of the European Union and its countries in supporting the GNA as the legitimate government in Libya.
