
The Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs, “Gawusoglu”, said that the military cooperation agreement with Libya was currently presented to the Parliament, and it will enter into force after its ratification.
In a statement to TRT channel on Sunday, oglu added that the GNA has the right to sign memorandums of understanding in accordance with the powers granted to them under the Skhirat agreement. It has already signed agreements with the European Union, the United States and Niger, so why is it not entitled to sign when it comes to Turkey. According to him.
Oglu affirmed that the two memorandums of understanding signed with Libya are “an important step against attempts to corner Turkey” and Turkey is determined to protect its interests and those of Turkish Cyprus.
It is worth noting that the Turkish Parliament approved the Memorandum of Understanding regarding the delineation of maritime jurisdiction, on December 5, and the agreement was published in the Official Gazette of the Turkish state, on December 7.
