Defense One: The Russian military intervention in Libya made Republicans and Democrats pay attention to the Libyan issue.

The American “Defense One” website confirmed today, Sunday, that reports indicating Russia’s military intervention in Libya to support Hifter in the takeover of Tripoli made Libya an issue of great interest among Republicans and Democrats in the Congress.

The American website published a report, through which it clarifies that Republicans and other Democrats have submitted bills aimed at clarifying American policy in Libya.

The report added that the resolutions submitted by members of Congress will push Washington to highlight foreign interference and violations of the arms embargo, and to develop a strategy to counter Russian influence in Libya.

It is reported that four members of Congress introduced, last October, the “Stabilization of Libya” law, in addition to submitting a bill of the same name sponsored by two Democrats and two Republicans in the Senate last month.
