Asarraj and US Senator Graham are considering imposing sanctions on those who threaten stability in Libya.

The President of the GNA, Mr. Fayez Asarraj, urged, on Saturday, with “American Senator Lindsey Graham” to impose sanctions on people who threaten stability in Libya, or those responsible for human rights violations, in addition to supporting democratic rule and elections.

The meeting, which was held on the fringes of the “Doha Forum”, according to the media office of the GNA, discussed the developments of the situation in Libya, the implications of the aggression against the capital, and the role played by negative external interventions in exacerbating the crisis.
Asarraj also discussed with Graham, a bill “Acheiving stabilization in Libya” that Congress is studying, to clarify US policy toward Libya.

It is worth noting that Graham told CNN in April this year that US President Donald Trump should push for political reconciliation in Libya, stressing that there is no military solution, because Hifter cannot control the country by military force.
