Maltese Foreign Minister Carmelo Abella said on Tuesday that a peaceful solution to the Libyan crisis is looming, stressing that tackling the crisis is a priority for his country, especially with regard to illegal immigration.

Abella added, on his official Twitter account, that peace, security and stability in the Mediterranean are at the top of Malta’s agenda, stressing his country’s support for the work of the UN envoy to Libya Ghassan Salama, and that his country has not retreated from raising the Libyan issue in international forums and continues to press For discussions.

It is noteworthy that the Maltese Prime Minister “Joseph Moscat,” said earlier, that there is no military solution to the Libyan crisis, and that the solution lies in the dialogue between the various Libyan parties, according to the initiative of the UN envoy to Libya Ghassan Salama.
