The Turkish Foreign Ministry stressed that the agreement signed with Libya clearly confirms that the two countries will not allow the imposition of the de facto policy in the Mediterranean being made by Greece and Cyprus.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry, through its spokesman, “Hami Aqsawi” added on Sunday, that this agreement was signed in accordance with international law, and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, and comes as a demarcation of its borders in the Mediterranean.

It is worth noting that Egypt, Greece and Cyprus have announced their rejection of the memorandums of security and maritime understanding signed between Libya and Turkey last Thursday
