Italy’s ambassador to Tunisia, Lorenzo Fenara, called on Tuesday for Tunisia’s participation in the Berlin conference due to the importance of its role in resolving the Libyan dispute and because the Italian government considers it a key party in solving the Libyan crisis.
For his part, the Presidency of the Tunisian House of Representatives confirmed its eagerness to participate in the Berlin Conference on Libya, pointing out that the stability of Libya and the safety of its people is at the forefront of Tunisia’s attention.
The council presidency added in a statement after the meeting with the Italian ambassador that the solution in Libya should be a peaceful solution based on dialogue and the prevalence of reason over military solutions.
It is noteworthy that the German Foreign Minister, Haikou Mas, said last October that his country will focus during the Berlin conference to resolve the Libyan crisis to bring together the parties involved in the Libyan crisis and neutralize the forces involved in the crisis as two conditions for the success of the conference.
