Libyan Human Rights demands the Attorney General to investigate the detention of the head of administrative control in Al-Bayda

The Libyan Organization for Human Rights demanded the Attorney General to open an investigation into the detention of the head of the Administrative Control Bureau in the Eastern Region, after issuing a report showing corruption and embezzlement of funds worth about 10 billion dinars.

The organization urged, in a statement on Tuesday, the House of Representatives to put the report of the Department of Management Control accountable to the head of the parallel government and refer those involved in corruption cases to the judicial authorities.

The head of the Administrative Control Authority in Al-Bayda, Abdel-Salam Hassi, disappeared after submitting the annual report for 24 hours before being released. The report revealed the parallel government spending of about 10 billion dinars, including more than two billion in favor of military accounts belonging to Hafter and the Ministry of Defense.
