The Presidential Council said on Sunday that a number of pilgrims, including children, were injured after Hafter bombed the airport of Mitiqa, describing the bombing as an act of dehumanizing terrorism.
In a statement, the president held full responsibility for the UN mission and called on it to show the full truth of the Security Council and fulfill its obligations to take deterrent measures to stop the repeated attacks on Mitiga airport, calling on them to take sides in justice and not just a statement to appease the thoughts of those affected.
The Council considered the bombing a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and international human rights law, putting the international community in front of its responsibilities towards the protection of civilians, pointing out that the targeting of civilian airports and aircraft is a full-scale war crime, as described.
