One Migrant died while 278 others rescued east and west of Tripoli



The coastguard announced on Saturday the death of one migrant and 278 rescued illegal immigrants aboard four rubber boats near the coasts of Tripoli, Al-Khams and Al-Zawiya.

The coastguards said that the migrants, who were rescued last Tuesday, are of different African and Arab nationalities. They were dropped at the Tripoli naval base and the port of Zawiya and Al-nawahi Al-Khams.

The Coast Guard added that of the 128 migrants who were rescued near the coasts of the city of Al-Khums, and after they reached Al-nawahi Al-Khams, they did not receive any shelters until the news was published.

It is noteworthy that the last operation announced by the Coast Guard, rescued four rubber boats with 391 illegal immigrants, over north-east of Tripoli.
