Nasser stresses importance of Egyptian-Tunisian-Algerian initiative on Libya

Interim Tunisian President Mohamed Nasser affirmed the importance of continuing efforts under the trilateral initiative to advance the political process in Libya.

This came during a meeting between Nasser and the Tunisian Foreign Minister, Khamis al-Jehinawi, on Friday, during which they discussed ways to stop the fighting and return to the table of dialogue and negotiation between the various Libyan parties to restore Libya’s security and stability, according to the official page of the Tunisian presidency.

It is noteworthy that the foreign ministers of the three countries Egypt, Tunisia and Algeria announced at the end of a meeting held in the Tunisian capital in February 2017 an initiative to resolve the Libyan crisis, later called the tripartite initiative.
