National Oil & Breqa Company : fuel distribution companies failed, and we ask Al Wefaq to investigate

The National Corporation and Brega Oil Marketing Company called on the government of Al Wefaq to investigate the failure of fuel distribution companies to meet the fuel needs of the citizen.

The company, in a joint statement with Brega, on Tuesday, said that the responsibility for the distribution of fuel and management of stations in the country rests with the four companies, namely, the services of highways, Al-sharara Al-dahabia, Al-Rahila , and Libya oil, these companies have generally failed to deliver the quantities that needs to be distributed to fuel to stations in the western, southern and mountainous regions, the statement said.

The statement added that Brega company allocated about 15 million liters of petrol fuel to meet the needs of citizens in Tripoli during the days of Eid al-Adha, but the mentioned companies received only 6 million and 450 liters.

Chairman of the National Oil Corporation, Mustafa San-allah, said that the Corporation and Brega are committed for providing fuel to all Libyans on a continuous basis, and that any party behind the stoppage of fuel supply or participate in smuggling and manipulation of prices will be referred to the relevant authorities, and reiterated its request to the Government of Wefaq to strengthen the mechanism of monitoring the work of distribution companies And station operators and hold them accountable.
