The company’s production in Libya is stable and has not changed so far, the chief executive of Eni Energy, Claudio Discalzi, said.
During a meeting with the journalists, Discalzi said production would always be the same, and that all of the company’s gas fields were concentrated in areas south of the capital Tripoli, according to the Italian agency ACI.
In April, Italy’s Eni announced its plans to increase its oil and gas production in 2019 to 2.5%, despite the loss of a production contract in Libya and the decline in production of the field it manages, which reduced production in the first quarter.
