Al-Serraj discussing with Erdogan prospects for cooperation between the two countries.

The President of the Presidential Council, Faiz Al-Sarraj, discussed with Turkish President Rejap Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul the developments in Libya and prospects for cooperation between the two countries, in addition to regional issues.

During his meeting with Al-Seraj on Friday, Erdogan reiterated his country’s support for the internationally recognized Accordance Government to achieve peace and stability in Libya, calling for an end to attacks by the illegal Hafar forces, according to the official page of the Al-Wefaq government.

On the other hand, Al-Serraj expressed his appreciation for Turkey’s rejection of the attack on Tripoli and its keenness to ensure the success of the political settlement process.

The head of the presidential council, Faiz al-Sarraj and Turkish President Rejep Tayyip Erdoğan, agreed in May to activate the joint defense agreement between the two countries.
