Guterres: There Are Positive Signs Of An Agreement On A Unified Government

UN Secretary-General António Guterres said there were positive signs of resolving the dispute between Al-Sarraj and Hafter over the military’s subordination to civil authority and the formation of a unified national government.

In a press statement, on Saturday, Guterres said after meeting with officials from the League of Arab States, the European Union and the African Union that differences on these issues could be overcome “for the first time” after eight years of efforts, according to Reuters.

It is noteworthy that the United Nations Mission in Libya announced that the National Forum will be held mid-next month in the city of Ghadames.
