Williams Pledges To Try To Lift The Aviation Embargo Upon The Libyan Civil Aircraft

The deputy UN envoy in Libya, “Stephanie Williams,” on Thursday, pledged to contact with the concerned parties to lift the European embargo imposed on Libyan civil aircraft.

During her meeting with Transportation Minister Milad Matouq, Williams stressed that the mission will work with the Ministry of Communications to raise the level of Libyan civil aviation performance to meet the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), according to the official page of the Ministry of Communications.

Williams added that the mission will also support the center to be developed for search and rescue operations, especially in the maritime field.

The meeting, which was held in Tripoli, included the Minister of Communications, the Aviation and Ports Agents and the Head of the Ports and Maritime Transport Authority.
