UNSMIL Warns Of Targeting The Economical Facilities In The South

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), on Sunday, stressed the need to avoid targeting economic facilities in the south, not to harm civilians under any circumstances, and to strictly abide by international humanitarian law.

According to a statement on its official website, the mission called for restricting military operations in favor of the fight against terrorism and organized crimes, reminding all parties of their responsibilities to ensure the safety of citizens and secure the country’s fortunes.

The Mission expressed its full readiness to bring the parties closer, calling on all parties to restrain and to give preference to the language of dialogue rather than war.

A Libyan civil aircraft that was carrying the commander of the military zone of Sabha had a bombing attempt while landing in Al-Feel Oilfield to transport the injured from the armed clashes in the south to Tripoli.
