Italy’s new ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Buccino, on Friday, said that he was “Returning to the wonderful country Libya, that suffers, with great emotion.”
“We are confident that Libya will gradually be able to reach peace, justice and prosperity,” he said, as reported by the Italian agency “AKI.”
The Italian Foreign Ministry announced on Friday the appointment of Ambassador “Giuseppe Buccino” after he was granted the acceptance from the Government National Accord (GNA).
Giuseppe Buccino held the same position between 2011 and 2015, and was appointed after “Giuseppe Perrone.”
