The High Commission of the Justice and Construction Party, on Sunday, decided to hold the general conference of the party after the general elections in the country in recognition of the political situation in the country.
In a statement, the party said that the decision was taken by an expanded meeting of the members and representatives of most of its branches, and 22 members voted in favor of postponing the general conference of the party, compared to 3 votes that wanted the formation of a consultative committee to set the date of the meeting, while one abstained from voting.
The party explained that it gave way to the interaction of all views, and that the discussion was on the level of responsibility, and the level required among the members of the body.
Chairman of the Justice and Construction Party, Mohamed Sawan, had asked in November last year the High Commission of the Party to meet, and determine the date of presidential elections for him.
