The Libyan Foreign Ministry announced that the Libyan government will not participate in the Arab economic development summit which is to be held in Lebanon, and that its seat will be vacant after the Lebanese “Amal” movement took down the Libyan flag.
Also, the Minister of Economy Ali Al-Issawi refused to participate in this summit, preventing the Libyan economic and technical delegation that arrived in Beirut from attending the preparatory meetings of the summit.
According to a source familiar with the ministry Al-Issawi, professed to transfer the headquarters of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission “ESCWA” to a country other than the State of Lebanon, in protest against the offence of the Libya flag.
