Ghassan Salame: It’s Time To Look For Alternatives To The HOR, SCS, And The PC.

The head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Ghassan Salame, on Sunday, declared that it is time to look for alternatives to the House of Representatives, the Supreme Council of State, and the Presidential Council, adding that “Libya deserves a better political class.”

During a speech in his visit to the city of Sabha, Salama stated that the stability of Libya will enable it to play a fundamental role in the stability of the entire region, pointing out that there are parties working on the obstruction of  efforts to achieve a healthy political environment in the country.

Salame said that the mission needs a security situation that would allow it and other  international organizations and Libyan authorities to resume the projects on hold and that they are trying to open Sabha’s Airport to ease the suffering of the citizens in the south, noting that the mission has allocated $1 million to assist in the reconstruction of the south. .

Salameh concluded that his visit to Sabha was the first business visit for the Commission for the South, in which had been planned by the mission earlier this month, adding that the mission will open an office in Benghazi this month in the hope of opening another office in Sabha this year.

The head of the United Nations Mission, Ghassan Salame, arrived Sunday, on his first visit to the city of Sabha, to meet with the deans of the south and sheikhs and dignitaries of the region.
